Phillip E. Zabolotny

FELTON - Phillip E. Zabolotny, Sr. passed away peacefully at his daughter's home surrounded by his children on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018
Phillip was born in The Bronx, N.Y. and retired from the Air Force after 25 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at Dover Air Force Base. He loved planes and trains, and made models of them both. He was also known to be goofy and liked to make people laugh. Phillip married his high school sweetheart, Eileen M. Zabolotny, in Roxborough, and then moved to Dover, and then to Altus, Oklahoma, and finally to Felton.
Mr. Zabolotny loved spending time with his family and enjoyed vacationing in Williamsburg and Ocean City yearly with his kids and grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Eileen M. Zabolotny; Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Zabolotny.
He is survived by his children, Phillip E. Zabolotny Jr., Christopher Zabolotny, and Amy Whittmore; sister, Michelle Cavallaro; grandchildren, Jasmine and Breanna Zabolotny, Phillip E. Zabolotny III, Alexander and Benjamin Whittmore, and James Zabolotny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
