Phillip C. Eaton Jr., 50

DOVER -- Phillip C. Eaton Jr., age 50, of Dover, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, after a brief illness. Phil was born in Wilmington on July 12, 1958, and was a graduate of William Penn High School. He was the manager of both the Chesdel and The Sail Loft restaurants. Phil enjoyed cooking and gardening and had an immense love for his pet Yorkies. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Grace; his father, Phil Sr.; and his brother, John. He is survived by his aunt, Pat Schaffer; his uncle, Sam Eaton; his many cousins; his Aunt Barbara; and his friends, Thomas Smith and Lynn Estepp. He is also survived by his mother and sister. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton St., Delaware City. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn Road, Port Penn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Port Penn, P.O.
