BARCLAY, Md. - Percy William "Bill" Seals of Barclay went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 78.
Bill was the son of the late Percy Randolph and Maggie Celeste (Sudler) Seals.
He received his education in Queen Anne"s County.
Bill was a charter member of Community Baptist Church in Barclay. Prior to becoming a member of Community Baptist Church, Bill served as a member of St. Daniel"s United Methodist Church in Barclay.
He was a truck driver for 59 years. The last 20 years of his trucking career he owned and operated Percy W. Seals Trucking.
Bill leaves to cherish is memories his wife of 56 years, Gladys Amanda Tecora (Gibbs) Seals; six children, William V. Seals of Baltimore, John Seals of Dover, Del., Dinah Ashley of Barclay, Jervis Seals of Millington, Vanette Seals of Millington, and Senta Warren of Barclay;11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers; a sister; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Community Baptist Church in Barclay, where friends may view two hours earlier. A viewing will also be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place at Mount Zion Cemetery, Marydel.
