Pearl Elizabeth Morris Barlow, 88

DOVER - Pearl Elizabeth Morris Barlow, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, in the Pinnacle Rehabilitation Center, Smyrna. She was 88. Mrs. Barlow was born Aug. 9, 1920 in Kenton, to the late Benjamin Outten and Amanda Wallace Outten. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a true friend to all those who knew her. Mrs. Barlow was an avid gardener and she enjoyed working with her flowers and plants. She was a homemaker most of her life, but had worked for Capital School District in food services. Mrs. Barlow was preceded in death by her first husband, William Earl Morris Sr.; her second husband, Calvin C. Barlow; her son, William Earl Morris Jr.; and her sister, Dorothy Hurley, all of Dover. Mrs. Barlow is survived by her three daughters, Betty Ann Rurka of Lakeland, Fla., Dottie Marie Morris of Dover, and Cindy Morris VanSant of Dover; a son, Donald Lewis Morris of Garland, Texas; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and special friend and cardiologist, Dr. Judy Rippert. Special thanks to the Pinnacle Rehabilitation Center, Sierria Unit Staff. Services will be private. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
