Pearl Elizabeth Melvin Davidson

Milford - Pearl Elizabeth Melvin Davidson passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018.
Pearl was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She worked thirteen years at Masten's Trucking and TIE Trucking Co. in Milford as a keypunch operator.
Pearl lived life to the fullest as she loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Samantha, Pearl's eldest granddaughter, was very special to her as they both lived together for 52 years.
Pearl enjoyed working in her large garden every Spring and Summer. She always kept family and friends well supplied with various fruits and vegetables that she grew and harvested from her garden.
Pearl was a 1943 graduate of Casear Rodney High School.
Pearl was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Milford for 70 years. She enjoyed attending circle meetings as well as the numerous church dinners, plays, functions, and services.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Melvin and Elsie Donophan Melvin; her loving husband of 56 years, George H. Davidson (2001); brother, Charles Harold Melvin; sisters, Gladys Marie Longfellow, Ruth M. Bullock.
She is survived by her sister, Doris M. Dell; sister-in-laws, Alberta Cullum and Betty Jane Melvin; sons, Ronald G. Davidson and wife, Carol, J. Glenn Davidson and wife, Kaye; daughter, Beverly Kay Davidson; five grandchildren, Samantha Lee Davidson, Shawn Davidson and wife Debbie, Shae Stevenson and husband Kevin, Nathan Davidson and wife Amy, Jason Davidson; seven great grandchildren, Hallee Davidson, Daisie, Brandt, Drew, and Bryer Stevenson, River and Valley Davidson. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service will be held for Pearl at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
