CHESWOLD - Paul John Spella passed away Sat., Sept. 7, 2013 in his home. Paul was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Clarence, Pa. to the late Paul Penik and Mary Spela. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Paul had worked as a mechanic at Willis Chevrolet, in Smyrna, for over 10 years. He enjoyed building model airplanes and boats; and was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Dora L. Spella; and a daughter, Doreen Seamon. He is survived by seven children, Fred Ayoub of Va., John Amos Ayoub of Dover, Mary Rose Harris of Ava, Mo., Paula Lowman of Camden-Wyoming, Ruby Ann Murphy of Hartly, Carleen Lee McCabe of Ariz., and Charleen Marie Reynolds, with whom he resided; a brother, Stephen Spela; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services, with full military honors, will be held 1 p.m., Wed., Sept. 11, 2013, in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
