At Kent General Hospital, in the early morning of Tuesday, the 6th of September 2022, the former Patricia May Clayville, a daughter of Jesse R. and Mildred Stormer Clayville.
Native to Argos Corner, born the 10th of February 1936, she was reared along with her siblings, Jan, Bob and Chris.
Known to most as Pat, she was a long-time resident of the Milford and Dover areas. She knew a career of thirty plus years as a State of Delaware employee, serving as a member of State Senate staff, in the Divison of Legislative Research, retiring from the Department of Insurance. She so enjoyed her years as a life member of the Little Creek VFC Ladies Auxiliary, as well as her association with Dover Elks Lodge #1903 and Milford Elks Lodge #2401.
Predeceased by sister, Jan, brother, Bob and nephew, Brad, Mrs. Ament is survived by daughter, Joy Ament Bower, sons, John and Rob (Paula), sister, Chris (Marty) Ross, beloved grandchildren, Tara (Justin), Ryan, Justin (Nicole), Jessica (Justin), great-grandchildren, Nigel, Blake, Madison, Oliver and Aubree, nephews, Brian and Michael, niece, Joanna, as well as, her former husband and father of her children, Jack Ament.
In accordance with her expressed wishes, funeral will be private.
Kindly omit flowers, if so desired, memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, may be considered.
