DOVER - Patricia Ann White of Dover died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, in her home. She was 76.
Mrs. White was born Jan. 17, 1930, in Cygnet, Ohio, daughter of the late Clyde Maxwell and Eloise (Gassman) Simon.
Mrs. White started teaching in Michigan until moving to Dover in 1956, where she taught the third grade at Caesar Rodney School District, retiring in 1985 from W. Reily Brown School.
She loved to be outside working in the yard, but her favorite thing of all was teaching children.
Mrs. White was a member of Beta Delta Zeta Chapter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Maxwell Simon; and a sister, Cici Simon.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack White of Dover; a daughter and a son-in-law, Deborah Roy Yancey of Newnan, Ga.; and a granddaughter, Sarah Yancey.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Del. 10), Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
