DOVER - Patricia Ann Sapp Hayes passed away peacefully on, Thurs. May 28, 2015 after a brief illness. Mrs. Hayes was born Aug. 10, 1936 in Dover to the late Foster M. Sapp and Margaret W. Sapp. She had worked for JC Penny's in the Blue Hen Mall and for the State of Delaware VO-Tech, which later became PolyTech. She made many friends along the way. Other than the unconditional love she had for her grandsons, her love for NCIS was beyond words. Absolutely her favorite and she would and could spend countless hours watching. All of her enjoyment and commitment were days spent with family. It was always family first. She was so compassionate with her love and caring. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Hayes in 1996; and son, Richard W. Hayes in 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Judy and husband, Evan Gregg, III; grandsons, Derek and Donald Gregg; step-grandson, Evan Gregg, IV and his wife, Amber; step great-grandsons, Evan V and Jadyn Gregg; a special uncle, William H. Willis and wife, Betty; nephew, Bob Sapp and wife, Carol; niece, Joy Paquette; cousins, Janet Capello and Beth Armiger and her family; and also a host of many many friends. Graveside services will be held 12 p.m., Wed., June 3, 2015 at Lakeside Cemetery, 558 N. State Street, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19961. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
