She was born in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Henry John and Vada Ruth Smith Bradshaw. She moved to Caroline County in 1981.
Mrs. Griffie was a toll collector for the Chesapeake Bay Bridge until she retired in 2000. She also worked as a server at Cohee's 404 Lounge.
She loved all animals, especially horses.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Lynn Brady of Millersville and Leah Brady Gadow of Preston; three sons, Steve B. Brady of Panama City, Fla., Dennis S. Brady of Denton and David P. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton where friends may visit with the family one hour earlier.
Burial will be private.
