DOVER - Pamela Lynn Thorpe lost her three year battle with cancer on April 26, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Glen G. Kirby and Emma Jean Baker. She worked for the State of Delaware for many years at DHCI and the Herman Holloway Campus. Pamela was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR. She was a longtime member of the Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company. Pamela was preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Tim Kirby; her paternal grandparents, Pearlie and Dollie Egnor; and maternal grandparents, Daniel C. and Leola Wood McBride. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth (Rusty) Thorpe of Dover; their beloved dog, Baby Bella; step-daughter, Lynn Madden (Jason) of Hartly; children, Sherry Parks (Ricky) of Henderson, Md., Jennifer Dill (Alec) of Camden, and John Lloyd (Lisa) of Felton; four brothers, Sam, John, Terry and Mike; one sister, Carolyn; grandchildren, Michael Golt, Kyle Parks, Monica Parks, Ian Lloyd, Cheyenne Madden, Aidan Dill and Jayden Lloyd; three best friends, Cathy, Diane and Debbie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will be 7-9 p.m. on Wed., May 1, 2013 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pippin Funeral Home to help offset the funeral costs.
