SEAFORD - Pamela A. Cornish, of Seaford, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008. She was 58. Born Nov. 8, 1949, in Laurel, she was the daughter of Evans Wilson and Betty Hadley. Pamela was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a true joy to anyone who was around her. She treasured her family and cherished her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, but cooking was her favorite. She was a longtime member of St. Matthews First Baptist Church in Laurel. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tyree Hughes in 2007. Pamela is survived by her husband of 44 years, Donald Cornish Sr. of Seaford; three daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Charles Duncan of Laurel, Donnie Cornish and her fiancé Wallace Wise Jr. of Magnolia, and Debbie Cornish of Salisbury, Md.; three sons and the wives of two, Daryl and Suzette Cornish of Seaford, Donald and Veronica Cornish Jr. of Laurel, and Taylor Cornish of Seaford. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Tamika Cornish, Shannon Cornish, Damera Beckett, Chantielle Sellers, Donnell Cornish, Amber Truitt, Donyell Conquest, Jaywaun Cornish, Brittany Cornish, Deadra Truitt and Devon Cornish; four great-grandchildren, Tyree Cornish, Tyra Cornish, Ashanti Smith and Kayden Cornish; two sisters, Peggy Foreman and Sandra Deloach; and three brothers, Evans Foster, Kevin Wilson and Eric Wilson. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. A going home service will be held at noon on Saturday at the United Deliverance Bible Center in Laurel. Burial will follow at St. Matthews First Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Young and McPherson Funeral Home, Seaford.
