Opal Robertson, 74

DOVER - Opal Robertson, died Friday, May 15, 2009, in Kent General Hospital. She was 74. Mrs. Robertson was born Oct. 19, 1934 in Dorton, Ky. to the late Printus Belcher and Victoria Potter Belcher. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clarence M. Robertson; her grandson, Christopher Wisneski; her brother, Elmer L. Belcher; and her sisters, Daisy Howard, Rose Ratliff, and Isa Huston. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clarence Robertson of Dover; her five children, Brenda K. Robertson of Dover, Deanna L. Wisneski of Felton, Cheryl A. Anthony of Viola, Mary Susan Manning of Sykesville, Md., Karen Robertson of Dover; siblings, Alfred Belcher of Dorton, Ky., Hattie Bentley of Dorton, Ky., Margie Moses and Thelma Ripley, both of Sandston, Va.; grandchildren, Erin and Robert Manning of Sykesville, Md., Kimberly and Jamie Anthony of Viola, and Brian Wisneski of Felton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call two hours prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Letters of condolences may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
