Ollie E. Griffith

FELTON - Ollie E. Griffith passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017.
Ollie was born Dec. 2, 1935 in Wyoming, Del, daughter of the late Robert and Alice (McClements) Wilson. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Caesar Rodney High School.
Ollie was a homemaker. She dearly loved her family and raising her seven children. She enjoyed watching soap operas and the Marty Stuart Show and listening to George Jones music
In addition to her parents, Ollie is preceded in death by two children, Rita Griffith and Joseph Griffith, Jr.; three brothers; two sisters; as well as her dogs, Fritz and Bullet.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph H. Griffith; five children, Jackie Brown of Felton, Melody Hearne (Roger) of Felton, Debbie Phillips (Bill) of Milford, Robert "Bobby" Griffith (fiance Beth) of Felton, and Teresa Griffith (Stan) of Houston; nine grandchildren, Walt Brown, Nicole Griffith, Charles Daniel, Brianna Griffith, Brandon Hearne, Taylor Bernhard, Jadyn Griffith, Amanda Potter and Amber Potter; six great grandchildren; a nephew, Ed Gourley; and her beloved dog, Jojo.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton, with visitation from 12:00-2:00p.m. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ollie's memory to the SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, De 19934 or Felton Fire Hall, PO Box 946, Felton, De 19943.
