Oliver 'Bob' Fisher, 74

MILLSBORO - Oliver "Bob" Fisher of Millsboro died Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md., with his family by his side. He was 74.

Mr. Fisher enjoyed country music, stock car racing and all sports, mainly baseball.

He was a manager and coach for the Millsboro Little League, and helped build the first dugout for the team. He was inducted in 2003 to the Eastern Shore Baseball Hall of Fame.

Mr. Fisher was a past member of the Selbyville Elks and the American Legion Post 28.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver J. and Helen F. (Tingle) Fisher; and his first wife, Nettie Fisher, in 1977.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. Fisher; four sons and four daughters-in-law, Kevin and Cheryl Fisher of Millsboro, Darrell and Becky Fisher of Lake Alfred, Fla., and Daniel and Deanna Burton and Jeff and Jennifer Burton, all of Millsboro; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara Ann and Larry Miller and Susan and Robert Thompson III, all of Millsboro; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour earlier. The Rev. Perry Mears will officiate.

Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery.
