Olive "Marie" Feyl, 83
DENTON - Olive "Marie" Feyl of Denton died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton, where she had been a resident since 2003. She was 83.
Mrs. Feyl was born June 16, 1923, in Harbeson, daughter of the late Arley M. and Mary L. Legates Tingle.
She was a 1942 graduate of Lewes High School, where she was a member of the Honor Society.
She liked to travel and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She liked to spend time in her flower garden planting multi-colored flocks, canna lillies, lilacs and sunflowers.
Mrs. Feyl was a member of the Caroline Adult Day Care Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sampson B. Feyl in 1984; six brothers, Lester Tingle, Alfred Tingle, Walter Tingle, Charles Tingle, George Tingle and Philip Tingle; three sisters, Doris Lightcap, Anna Elliott and Hulda Elliott.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Sampson B. Jr. and Susan Feyl of Bridgeville, Del., and Edward C. and Jane Feyl of Dover, Del.; five daughters and five sons-in-law, Doris Marie and Sonny Bose of Magnolia, Del., Barbara A. and James Spicher of Greensboro, Nancy L. and Allan Chavkin of San Marcos, Texas, Kathryn M. and John Conner of Newark, Del., Mary Elizabeth and Bob Golden of Helena, Mont.; two sisters-in-law, May White of Hartly, Del. and Alvie Dill of Harrington, Del.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greensboro Baptist Church, where friends may call half an hour earlier.
Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
Instead of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer"s Association of Eastern Shore Chapter, 209C Milford St., Salisbury, MD 21804.
