Olga S. Tosh

(nee Sowiak), 95 MILTON - Olga S. Tosh (nee Sowiak), age 95, of Milton, formerly of Claymont, died September 1, 2014 at home with her family by her side. She retired from The Vanguard Group in 1991 after 33 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Georgetown. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, Mizpah Chapter #2 and Ruth Chapter #19, and was a past worthy matron of one of the chapters and a member of the Lewes Senior Center where she served on the Board of Trustees for a number of years. She will be remembered as a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother and friend. She lived and grew old among us, enriched our lives along the way and, for this blessing, we give thanks and pray for her eternal rest. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerome (Jerry), in March 1983; as well as her sister, Mary Bennett in November 1996. Survivors are three daughters, Janet Liott and Patrick DiDavide of Coatesville, Pa.; Joan Elwell and husband Eric of Rushville, Ind.; Karen Johnson and husband Bill with whom she lived for the past 14 years; a nephew, Richard Bennett and his wife Jean; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A memorial service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2014 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, Delaware with visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Olga's name to Grace United Methodist Church, 7 S. King St. Georgetown, DE 19947; or to Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriots Way Milford, DE 19963.
