MARYDEL, Del. - Norval "Sonny" Delbert Bose, Jr. passed away, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Bose was born March 25, 1939 in Marydel, Delaware to the late Norval Delbert Bose, Sr., and Nettie Panasik Bose.
He served from 1957 to 1961 in the U.S. Army National Guard. Mr. Bose had worked as a concrete truck driver for Nanticoke Homes after working for General Motors on the production line retiring after 25 years. He enjoyed collecting John Deere Tractors, attending tractor shows/pulls and restoring antique tractors. Mr. Bose was a member of the United Auto Workers Local #435.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Feyl Bose; sisters, Helen Johnson and Marian Raughley; and daughter-in-law, Dianna Bose.
He is survived by sons, Donald Bose of Marydel and David Bose and his wife Robyn of Camden; daughter, Joanne Pendry and her husband Jeff of Springfield, Va.; sisters, twin sister, Ann Gunter of Marydel, Del. and Hope Melvin of Marydel, Del.; grandchildren, Jennifer Honaker, Jason Bose, Catherine, and Riley Pendry; great grandchildren, James Honaker, Jr., Jonathan, Jeremy and Juliet Honaker and Evelyn Bose.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 Thursday evening, May 27, 2021 at Torbert Funeral chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Hartly Fire Department.
