Collins, 80 MILTON - Norman Norwood Collins passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Beebe Healthcare. Norwood was born in Millsboro, son of the late Norman and Hattie (Greenwalt) Collins. He was a farmer and had worked with White Packing, Hajoca, Barcroft and retired in the mid 1980's as a supervisor with Perdue Farms in Georgetown. Norwood was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge and attended Whites Chapel Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Lee Collins. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte (Johnson) Collins; three children, Jane Chorman and husband Raymond, Carol Daisey and husband Tony, Mary Collins and friend, John; a brother, Paul Collins; five grandchildren, John Collins and wife Amanda, Erin Chorman and friend Marcelus, Dawonne Downing, Sr., and friend Kay, Keeon Downing, Brittany Chorman and friend Ray; and four great grandchildren, Karmelo, Dawonne Jr., Lilyana and Marie. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
