MIDDLETOWN - Norman H. "Whitey" Morrow, 82, of Middletown, and formerly of Mineola, N.Y. and Dover, passed away peacefully at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, on June 28, 2011. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret Mary Morrow of Mineola, N.Y., and Dover, DE; devoted father of Richard (Angela), Thomas (Sharon), Russell (Lorrie) and Sharon Giuffre (the late Anthony Giuffre); loving grandfather to Luke Morrow, Michael Giuffre, Theresa Vial and Jessica Morrow; loving great-grandfather to Emily Giuffre and loving brother to Robert Morrow of Milford. Norman was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Communication Workers of America. He was employed by the New York Telephone Company for 35 years and retired in 1989. Friends may visit with his family on Friday, July 1, from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Daniels and Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Saturday, July 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 371 E. Main Street in Middletown. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810; or to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
