BARCLAY, Md. - Norma Jean Clough died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 surrounded by her family at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, Md.
Norma Jean Clough was born June 27, 1936 in Harrington the daughter of the late Leslie Kemp and Mae "Willey" Kemp. During her early childhood, Mrs. Clough was raised by her aunt, Ethel Hughes. She attended school in Harrington and at age 15, married her husband of 66 years, Louis Everett Clough. Mrs. Clough spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for and raising five children. She loved to go dancing with her husband every Thursday night at Foxtown and also at the VFW. The two were great "gitter-buggers". She also loved sitting outside in the evenings with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Bishop and two brothers, Louis Kemp and Kessler Kemp.
She is survived by her husband, Louis E. Clough of Barclay, Md.; three sons, Louis C. Clough (Cindy) of Milford, Lee C. Clough (Chris) of Chestertown, Md., Dudley D. Clough of Harrington; two daughters, Bonnie Tucker (Thomas) of Rock Hall, Md., Cynthia McFarland (Donald) of Price, Md.; ten grandchildren, Ryan Clough of Milford, Stacey Wessel of Hubert, N.C., Megan Cyr of Charleston, S.C., Anna Harrison of Chestertown, Md., Amanda Lockerman of Rock Hall, Md., John K. Thomas Tucker of Chestertown, Md., David McFarland of Price, Md., Kristen Clagett of Church Hill, Md., Brianna McFarland of Price, Md., Shelby Lima of Stanton, Va.; and ten great grandchildren, Victoria, Noah, Anthony, Reagan, Georgia, Piper, Tidence, Elin, Baylor, Ashton; and a nephew, Wayne Bishop.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home, 370 Cypress St., Millington, Md. Friends may also call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018. Services will begin at 12 p.m. Interment will follow in Sudlersville Cemetery in Sudlersville, Md.
