Nelson Kinder Willey, 60
SALISBURY, Md. - Nelson Kinder Willey, 60, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2009, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. Born in Milford, Del., he was the son of the late Joseph Kinder Willey and Mildred Virginia Hastings Willey. Upon graduating from Delmar High School in June of 1966, Nelson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving from 1966 to 1970 during the Vietnam conflict. He was a quiet, private and devoted family man. His children and grandchildren were the joys of his life, with whom he spent countless hours. His valiant battle fought against AML is over, a battle done solely for his family, allowing them to hold him near for a little longer. So now we kiss you goodbye and let you rest in Jesus' arms until we all will join you again one day. Nelson is survived by his loving wife of almost 39 years, Dawn Lee Cressey Willey, whom he married on April 18, 1970, in Plattsburgh, N.Y.; two children, daughter, Tobi Leigh Hupke and her husband, Erich and son, Erik Jon Willey, all of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Hunter Makayla Morton, Makenzie Lea Schaffer and Emerson Jon Kirtland Hupke; three sisters, Elmon Taylor, Anne "Constance" Howard and Marie Travers and her husband, Wayne; four brothers, Bryon B. Willey, Leon "Ray" Willey and his wife, Elsie, Thomas D. Willey and his wife, Patricia, John H. Willey and his wife, April; mother-in-law, Bernice I. Cressey; two sisters-in-law, Carla Willey and Bonnie S. South and her husband, David; four brothers-in-law, Tommy Lane, David T. Cressey and his wife, Bonnie, Keith R. Cressey and his wife, Dawn, Marvin H. Morrow and his wife, Sue; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris "Mae" Lane and an infant sister; a brother, Joseph "Albert" Willey; two nieces, Ellen Taylor and Laurie Lane; father-in-law, Donald K. Cressey, Sr.; and three brothers-in-law, Charles Taylor, Harry Howard and Donald K. Cressey, Jr. All services will be private.
