Nellie M. Camillo O'Dwyer, 87

KENNEDYVILLE, Md. - Nellie M. Camillo O'Dwyer of Kentmore Park, Kennedyville, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, in her daughter's home. She was 87.

Mrs. O'Dwyer was born May 24, 1919, in Denton, daughter of the late William and Addie (Bickling) Poore.

She lived in Delaware County, Pa., until moving to Kent County over 30 years ago.

Mrs. O'Dwyer was a member of Kennedyville United Methodist Church and a past member of the Lower Cecil County Senior Citizens. Nellie actively participated with the Galena Lions Club functions.

She enjoyed reading and loved the beach and swimming.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years Charles Camillo Jr., in 1963; her second husband of 20 years, Edward O'Dwyer, in 1994; six brothers, Arthur Poore, Stanley Poore, Howard Poore, Paul Poore, Ray Poore and Earl Poore; and a sister, Sara Hopkins Gustafson.

Mrs. O'Dwyer is survived by her daughter, Joyce A. Burris of Chestertown; a sister-in-law, Esther Bradley of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Kennedyville United Methodist Church, where friends may call one hour prior to service.

Graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Kennedyville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 32, Kennedyville, MD, 21645; or Chester River Home Care and Hospice, 6602 Church Hill Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
