DOVER - Natalie Wible Collin, of Dover, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, surrounded by family. She was born in Moorestown, N.J., the daughter of Charles and Anne Wible. She attended Moravian College prior to graduating from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pa., where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She earned her MA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Natalie started work as a Service Representative for Bell Telephone in Merchantville, N.J. and Dover. Later her life was centered in the educational field, having taught in early church-related kindergarten, English Literature and Composition for the Clermont County Branch of the University of Cincinnati, and Wesley College in Dover, where she also taught Business Communications and Technical Writing; and English as a Second Language for the Berlitz Saudi Arabian Program at Wesley College. She was past President of the Dover Branch of American Association of University Women, a member of the Kent County Republican Womens Club, and was instrumental in providing the impetus for the State of Delaware's Contribution of $10,000 to the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Washington, D.C. She also helped to organize the Dover Heritage Trail and was its original Vice President. Her hobbies included travel, gardening, reading, playing bridge, and time at the beach. She was an avid bird watcher and a wonderful cook. Natalie was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Patricia W. Kraft. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard E. Collin of Dover; her son, Richard D. Collin and partner Richard Wheeler of Accokeek, Md; her daughter, Leslie Anne Nittiskie and husband Edward of Gainesville, Va.; her brother, David Wible of Glassboro, N.J.; and sister, Sally Doyle and husband Thomas of Philadelphia, Pa. Memorial services will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Doctors Without Borders, P.O. Box 5022, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5022.
