HARRINGTON - Natalie Coker passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 at the Delaware Hospice Center.
Natalie was born Jan. 9, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harley Alfred Smith and Tatiana Akinfieva Smith.
She had worked for several hospitals, nursing homes and doctor's offices as a LPN. Natalie loved spending time with her children, listening to stories of her grandchildren, going to the beach, and her dogs, Libby, Izzy and most recently Layla. She enjoyed reading and had a great sense of humor, she had a heart of gold and once a friend always a friend. Natalie enjoyed writing poetry in her younger years. She was also an artist, having studied ballet and piano in her youth. She enjoyed singing silly songs that her father had sang with her, with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Dale Coker, Jr.; brother, Paul Smith; and her dear friend, Clifton Leager, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Misty Yencer (Steve) of Magnolia, Anthony Ryan Coker, Sr. (Hope) of Smyrna, Tayah Leager (Anthony) of Felton, Jacob Leager (Jelissa) of Dover and Jordan Leager of Dover; half-brother, Thomas Jack Roberts of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Victoria Brown-O'Brien, Madilynn, Anthony Jr., Aubree, Felicity, Jayce, and Jax (who is due in February); and close and dear friends, Liz Dunn of Dover, and Tammy Lasher of Harrington.
A private memorial for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Steve Yencer.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses.
Letters of condolences may be sent and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
