LAUREL - Naomi W. Lare passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at PRMC in Salisbury, Md.
She was born on April 2, 1940 in Laurel, a daughter of the late Norman and Margie Wingate.
Naomi was born and raised near Trap Pond in Laurel, where her dad worked as a park ranger for many years. In her later years, she enjoyed working at the ticket booth. She was a member of Kings United Methodist Church and the Laurel American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also an avid lover of harness racing.
She is survived by her sons, Toby Lynch, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Delmar, and Kevin Lare of Harrington; grandchildren, Jason Lynch, Megan LeCates and her husband Larry, Tyler, Shea, Trot, and Foxx Lare; great grandson, Lucas Lynch; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Lynn Lare; a sister, Doris Downs; and brothers, Leon and Vernon Wingate.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Kings U.M. Church, 34526 Gordy Road in Laurel. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. The Reverend John Rogers will officiate.
