AIRVILLE, Pa. - Nancy M. Macklin, age 79 years of Airville, Pa., passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert G. Macklin with whom she had shared 59 years of marriage. Born on April 6, 1932 in Dover, Del., she was a daughter of Thurber Horace and Delsie Mae (Jones) Forbes. Mrs. Macklin will be remembered as a dedicated loving farm wife, devoted and caring mother and dear friend to all. Mrs. Macklin enjoyed playing bingo, was a former member of the Brogue Ambulance Auxiliary and attended McKendree United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Sue McDonald and her husband, Kevin of York, Pa., Greg Macklin of Airville, Pa., Tom Macklin and his wife, Donna of Airville, Pa., Andy Macklin and his wife, Deb of Airville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Forbes of Magnolia, Del.; a sister, Shirley Johnson of Dover, Del. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. "Mack" Macklin; a brother and two sisters. A time for visitation with her family will be 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at McKendree U.M. Church, 3708 Delta Road, Airville, Pa. A Celebration of Life will follow beginning at 3 p.m. with the church minister, Pastor David A. Walker officiating.
