MILFORD - Nancy Ellen Shaw passed away on Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2017 at home. Nancy was born in Milford. Years ago, she was an office manager of Master Crafters then the secretary and kitchen designer for Layton Builders. She was a member of the Independent Bible Fellowship Church. She dearly loved her daughter, granddaughter and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Jones. She is survived by her father, Franklin Jones of Milford; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Drew Holleger; brother, Robert C. Legates, Sr. and wife, Julie of Millsboro; granddaughter, Ashley Messick and husband, Lucas; three great-grandchildren, Aubree, Brody and Liam Messick; three uncles, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Sunday, Apr. 2, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Apr. 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington, DE 19952. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
