Myrtle Louise Waite, 64

DOVER - Myrtle Louise Waite of Dover died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in Westminster Village Healthcare Center, Dover. She was 64.

Myrtle was born Aug. 28, 1942, in Ridgley, Md., to William Francis and Cora Jones Hignutt. She grew up in Denton, Md., and raised her family in the Keene, N.H., area.

She worked for Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill as a certified nurses aid. After her retirement, she worked at Westminster Village and in private homes, providing assisted care for patients. She enjoyed reading, crafting, crocheting and the beach.

Myrtle was preceded in death by a son, Alan Wayne Susee, in 1988.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Norman Susee of Albany, N.Y., and Kenneth Wayne Sussee and William Joseph Sussee, both of Dover; a sister, Frances "Fay" Shorts of Hartly; a host of nieces and nephews; and close friends, Joan Johnson, Janet Attix, Jeanie Durham and Diane Guy.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover.

Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720; or Heartland Hospice, 162 Chapman Road, Suite 100, Newark, DE 19702, Attn: Angie.
