SUDERLSVILLVE, MD. - Monte Edwin Webb died at his home on Thurs., Feb. 26, 2015. Mr. Webb was born in Milford, the son of the late Marshall and Helen "Marker" Webb. Monte was a 1966 graduate of Chestertown High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. After an honorable discharge he returned home and went to work farming with Neff Farms. He later started his career as a truck driver. Mr. Webb drove for Charlie Walls, DSD, Matlack and most recently Andersen Logistics. Mr. Webb was a member of VFW Post 652, American Legion Post 246, Disabled American Veterans, Queen Anne's County Farm Bureau, Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Co. and the Auxillary where he was also a life member. Monte enjoyed gardening, working outside, bowling, woodworking and collecting hats. To his family he was known as "Mr. Fix it" and was always working on things at the home. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Helaine "Lainey" Webb of Sudlersville, Md.; one daughter, Amanda Webb of Sudlersville, Md.; one son, Adam Webb and his fiancé Rachel Palmer of Church Hill, Md.; and four brothers, Bruce Webb of Chestertown, Md., Wade Webb of Chestertown, Md., Gary Webb and wife Patti of Kennedyville, Md., and Kimble Webb and wife Marcy of Fairlee, Md.; and special friends, Jack and Billie Comegys. A Celebration of Monte's Life will be held Sat., Mar. 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Sudlersville Vol. Fire Co. In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to Compass Regional Hospice 255 Comet Drive, Centreville, Md. 21617 or Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Co. P.O. Box 61 Sudlersville, Md. 21668.
