GEORGETOWN - Mitchell Stephen Gulyas, Jr. passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Beebe Medical Center.
Mitchell was born in West Ocean City, MD, on February 6, 1947, to the late Mitchell Stephen, Sr., and Myrtle (Quick) Gulyas.
Mitchell was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Georgetown. He was also a member of the Improved Order of Red Men Nanticoke Tribe No. 21. His favorite pastimes include fishing, cutting grass, and going to the Georgetown Dunkin Donuts to spend time with his friends. Above all else though, he valued the time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents; Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Short) Gulyas; the mother of his child, Geraldine King; his sisters, Linda Gulyas and Genevieve Marvel.
He will be greatly missed by his children, Shelley Gulyas (Jeff), Jerry Sipple, Bill Sipple, Dawn Sipple; his sisters, Diana Nelson (Dennis), Libby Gulyas, and Catherine Joiner (David); his grandchildren, Robbie Hearn, Tyler Eskridge, Jeffrey Isenhower, Buddy Sipple, Jay Sipple, Lindsay Sipple, and Ryan Sipple.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 1:00 at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St. Georgetown, DE 19947. A time of visitation will begin the same day at 11:00. Interment will be held at St. John United Methodist Cemetery.
