Mildred Roberta Sapp, 83

WYOMING - Mildred Roberta Sapp of Wyoming died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at her daughter"s home in Townsend. She was 83.

Born in Magnolia on Aug. 24, 1924, Mildred was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Knight.

She lived in Wyoming for over 40 years, and was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Michael Sapp, in 1987.

Mildred attended Caesar Rodney High School, class of 1942. She was a dedicated lifelong fan of the Rider sports teams.

She was a devoted homemaker and loved her family.

Mildred will be remembered for her kindness and unselfishness, always putting others first.

She was an outstanding cook, and there was always room for many guests around her dining table. She loved to share stories with her family and friends.

Mildred was a voracious reader who enjoyed a variety of subject areas, as well as a lover of animals.

She loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Knight.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, June and Vic Dankewich of Cumming, Ga.; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Rick Stradley of Townsend; her son, Charles Sapp of Wyoming; and her grandchildren, Michael Stradley, Clay Stradley, Hannah Stradley, Bert Stradley and Schuyler Dickson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. at the Townsend Freewill Baptist Church, 4519 S. Dupont Parkway. Interment will be private.
