DENTON, MD. - Mildred Mae Rice of Denton died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in the Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. She was 91.
Mrs. Rice was born on the Eastern Shore, daughter of the late James Henry and Rosalie (Morris) Cronshaw.
She lived in the mid-shore area all of her life.
Mrs. Rice was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She also worked at Leed's Button Factory, Barclay until she retired in the mid-1980s.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard James Rice; a daughter, Doris Hawkins; two sisters, Marie Holland and Evelyn Elben Palmatary; and three brothers, Kennard Cronshaw, Roy Cronshaw and Paul Cronshaw.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Wilder of Preston, Md., and Myrtle J. Dennis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Betty Dulin of Dover, Del.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton, where friends may call one earlier.
Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Caroline Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 362, Denton, MD 21629.
