Miguel 'Mikie' Feliciano, 71

CAMDEN - Miguel "Mikie" Feliciano of Camden, formerly of Camey, Puerto Rico, departed this life Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, in his home, with his family by his side. He was 71.

Mr. Feliciano was born May 25, 1935, to the late Thedoro and Saturnina (Rodriguez) Feliciano.

He was employed by Kent General Hospital for 22 years, where he was loved and highly respected by all who came in contact with him, retiring in September 2000.

Mr. Feliciano loved baseball like no other sport, except crabbing and gardening. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was a member of Monto Calviro Church in New York City before moving to Delaware.

Mr. Feliciano will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jesus Feliciano of Puerto Rico.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Christine Louise (Johnson) Feliciano of Camden; two sons, Miguel Feliciano and his wife Giovanna of Killeen, Texas, and Robert Feliciano Sr. of Camden; a daughter, Elizabeth Feliciano of Dover; four grandchildren, Amanda, Trey, Robert Jr. and Emillio; three brothers, Thedoro Feliciano, Ruben Feliciano and Ralph Feliciano, all of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Maria Feliciano and Lou Feliciano, both of Puerto Rico; four sisters-in-law, Barbara Johnson of Dover, Cora and her husband Earl Brown of Lynchburg, Va., Mary Hicks of Felton and Veralee Dukes of Dover; a brother-in-law, Lovell Wayne Johnson of Felton; his favorite cousin, Domingo "Joe" Feliciano of Felton; a special adopted daughter, Cathy Conard; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may view two hours prior.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover.
