PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Michael K. Ingram II, AKA Mike, Mizz, MI2 and Uncle Mike tragically died on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., from injuries sustained in a car crash. Mike was born in Newark, Del., on Jan. 2, 1987. The wonderful son of Michael K. Ingram and Celia R.(Piner) Ingram and was the devoted brother of Magen C. Ingram of Newark, Del. Mike attended Glasgow High School in Newark, Del., where he played basketball and baseball all four years and graduated with honors. He was a member of the Glasgow High School state championship basketball team. He attended the University of Delaware for one semester before transferring to Delaware State University to play on the DSU-Hornet baseball team. Mike graduated from DSU December 2009 with a bachelors' degree in sports management. Mike lived with his parents in his own private space which he called "the Man Cave." He worked at W.L. Gore and Associate, Inc. as a manufacturing tech while simultaneously considering his broad options for his future, including law school. Through his sports at all levels Mike grew and fostered strong and lasting relationships with many teammates, friends and their families. Having friends was one of Mikes "favorite things." Mike loved collecting and watching movies, music, watching his favorite football team with his dad, karaoke night, collecting watches, phones and much more. When asked by his friends, "What are you doing?" His answer was "I'm just living the dream" Michael was a great kid and young adult. Mike is survived by his mother; father; sister; six year old nephew, Mahki J. Ingram; two year old niece, Amya Lynn Ingram; soon to be born niece, Malia Mika Ingram; maternal grandmother, Edna M. Piner of Elkton, Md.; paternal grandmother, Gladys M. Rivera of Greenwood, Del.; and his uncle, Nate; his extended family is large with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, too many to name. From his father's side they are the Ingrams, the Harmons, the Warrens and the Nochos. From his mother's side they are the Piners, the Dorseys, the Brooks, and the Simpers. Services will be held on Thursday Dec. 2, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church located at 292 W. Main Street Newark, DE 19713. Viewing is from 9 to 10:45 a.m. and Celebration of life service begins at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that the donations in memory of Michael K.
