LINCOLN, DE - Michael Joseph Mignogno passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Michael was born in Glenside, PA, the son of Salvatore and Natalie (Pauso) Mignogno.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 168th infantry as a staff sergeant during WW II where he received the purple heart. Following the war, Michael worked as a salesman of bowling and billiard supplies for many years before retiring. He was a member and former president of the Milford Senior Center where he was known for his narrations and presentations, a member of the V.F.W. Blue Hen Post # 6483 of Milford, and a member of the Milford Lions Club. He also enjoyed bowling and golf in his spare time.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by three sons, Michael J. Mignogno and his wife Jayne, Patrick J. Mignogno and his wife Gail and Dennis Mignogno and his wife Paula; brother, Joseph Mignogno; seven grandchildren, Michael Mignogno and his wife April, Katie Mignogno, Lauren Mignogno and her husband Lawson, Brian Mignogno, Megan Bolcar and her husband Matthew, Kevin Mignogno and his wife Hollis and Craig Mignogno and his wife Shannon; and seven great grandchildren, Kaylee, Aubrey, Mason, Kennedy, Carter, Emily and Maya.
Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE where U.S. Army honors will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the charity of your choice in Michael's name.
