SEAFORD - Michael de Armond passed away Oct. 8, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Jessie Kennedy; son-in-law, Scott Kennedy; grandson, Brodie de Armond; brother, David de Armond; and many cousins and nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, he had many close friendships that he cherished.
Mike enjoyed bowling, fishing, golf and running the business that he had built. He had a great sense of humor and a warmth and passion for life that drew people to him. Even after he had been diagnosed with cancer, he would often say, "I'm the luckiest man I ever knew". He lived with no regrets and had a very full life. After serving in the U.S. Air Force in Germany as a Russian linguist, he worked in construction supply and went on to build a successful business, Delmarva Rigging & Supply in Seaford. He greatly enjoyed the business relationships he had cultivated over many years and loved his work. As per his wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. If you would like to be included please send an email with your contact info to mcdee48@comcast.net.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Chesapeake Wildlife Heritage, PO Box 86, Easton, MD 21601.
