GOLTS, Md. - Michael A. Heimbach of Golts passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 37.
Michael was born Sept. 17, 1970, in Pottstown, Pa., son of Donna Williamson Heimbach of Drums, Pa., and the late Marvin L. Heimbach Jr.
He worked as a mechanic for Farina's Tire in Smyrna, Del., for the last several years and was a valued employee.
Michael was a member of the Townsend (Del.) Fire Co., the Volunteer Hose Co. of Middletown (Del.) and the Odessa (Del.) Fire Co.
His hobbies included shooting for CJ's Bar in the pool league, cooking, "muddin'" and he was a roadie for the band called the Mustangs.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Mark Heimbach of Bechtelsville, Pa.; three sisters, Vicki L. Derr of East Greenville, Pa., and Gabrielle M. and Danielle S. Heimbach of both of Williamstown, N.J.; his stepfather, Joseph Dry Sr. of Drums; his adopted family, Mary and George McGuire, with whom he lived, and David and Cynthia McGuire of Golts; and his adopted grandparents, William and Mary McGuire, with whom he lived.
Services with full fireman's honors will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Galena Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Townsend Fire Co., P.O. Box 194, Townsend, DE 19734.
