DENTON - Merle Lee Lister, Sr. died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the UM Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD. Born in Denton, Mr. Lister was the son of the late Joshua Lee (JOCK) Lister and Carrie Alice Watson Lister. In 1965, he and his wife, Anna Pauline Lister of Denton, moved to Greenwood, Del. where he was in sales and farming. He was a member of the Temple Lodge No. 9 AF&AM in Milford, Del. and the NUR Shriners in New Castle, Del. He was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church in Harrington, Del. They moved back to Denton in 2006. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lister is survived by two daughters, Debbie Zeroles (Joe) of Harrington and Sharon Breeding (Terry) of Denton; three sons, J. Paul Lister (Jayne) of Denton, Marvin Scott Lister (Terri) of Denton, and Daniel E. Lister (Rhonda) of Ellendale, Del.; a daughter-in-law, Fran Lister of Greenwood; a brother, Donald Lister of Seaford, Del.; two sisters, Ruth Ann Breeding of Denton and Mary Veal of Hillsboro, Md.; 11 grandchildren, Lisa Zeroles, Jason Zeroles, Kelly Lister, Jeremy Lister, Dylan Lister, Lacey Lord, Mandy Harrington, Jessica Robichaux, Lindsay Lister, Leah Parks, and Justin Lister; and eight great-grandchildren, YorgiJo Zeroles, Brynn Zeroles, Hailey Lister, Jullian Harrington, and Aiden Robichaux, Anna-Grace Robichaux, Alonna Lord, and Luke Zeroles. He was preceded in death by a son, Merle Lee Lister, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 2nd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may visit from 6 until 8 on Wednesday evening. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The interment will be in the Concord Cemetery on Rt. 313 near Federalsburg. If friends wish to send memorial donations, the family suggests sending them to The Clothes Closet, Prospect UMC, P.O.
