Megan Taylor Pulleyn

MILLINGTON - Megan Taylor Pulleyn, died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. She was born on Mar. 19, 1985 to Joan Boone Smith and the late Carlton W. Smith, Jr.. This bright star will be missed by her husband of four years, Schuyler Pulleyn of Millington, Md.; her mother, Joan Boone Smith of Goldsboro, Md.; sister, Alexis N. Smith of Boston, Mass; in-laws, Phillip and Margaret Pulleyn, Emily and Nick McMorris, Todd Pulleyn, Arthur and Winifred Pulleyn, all of Greensboro, Md; grandmother, Pauline Boone of Dover, Del.; aunts and uncles, Diane and John Knies of Dover, Dorothy Baxter of Price, Md., Terry and Tommy Coleman of Sudlersville, Md., Connie Smith of Milford, Del., Jerry and Mary Sutton of Ridgely, Md.; cousins, Becki and Chris Leslie and their children of Dover, Del., Cheri Knies and Jay Luff and their children, Cory and Colby Baxter of Greensboro, Md. and Churchill, Md.; and numerous other family members; friends; and co-workers. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Carlton and Eleanor Smith; her grandfather, Alvin E. Boone; and dear friend, Danielle DeMatta. Mrs. Pulleyn attended North Caroline High School in Ridgely, Maryland where she participated in the Honor Society, the Tennis and Field Hockey teams and graduated Valedictorian in 2002. She attended Goucher College in Towson, Maryland where she graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2006 with degrees in Chemistry, Mathematics and a concentration in Biology she went to attend the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, graduated in 2010 with a PharmD degree. Mrs. Pulleyn worked at the Chester River Hospital in Chestertown, Md. as a Doctor of Pharmacy. Before graduation she worked at the Target Pharmacy of Towson, Md., the Chester River Hospital and the State of Delaware Dept. of Natural Resources. Her interests were spending time with her beloved husband Schuyler and her family, kayaking, playing tennis, reading, traveling, photography and quilting. Services will be held at the New Life Wesleyan Church in Greensboro at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, Feb. 3rd, 2012, A luncheon and fellowship will follow the service at the Goldsboro Firehall. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Megan Taylor Pulleyn Memorial Scholarship Fund, Donations can be sent to C/O Schuyler Pulleyn 2313 Millington Rd.
