MILLSBORO - Maxine B. Hudson passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was the daughter of the late Mack and Elsie Mitchell Hudson, of Millsboro. Maxine was a life-long resident of Sussex County, being born in Lewes, living in Millsboro during her childhood and entire life. She graduated from Millsboro High School in 1954, and immediately got a job at the Millsboro Trust Company. That bank later merged with Bank of Delaware, and eventually PNC Bank. Maxine retired after working more than 40 years in the banking industry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Alton and Ester Hudson; and her close friend, John Frazier. She is survived by several cousins and many friends who will dearly miss her and her wonderful laugh. If a person's wealth is measured by the number of friends he or she has, Maxine was an extremely wealthy woman. Services will be held at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., with the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. Interment follows in Millsboro Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed, or memorial contributions may be made in her name to either: Delmarva Teen Challenge, 611 Third Street, Seaford, DE 19973; or to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot Way, Milford, DE 19963; or to any Charity of your choice.
