DOVER - Mattie Jewell Gibson of 25 New Street, passed away on July 28, 2014 at the Christiana Hospital Newark. Born on April 22, 1930 she was the daughter of Ira and Emma Hawthorne. She was 84 years old. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 at Powerhouse Ministries, 115 E. Glenwood Ave. Smyrna, DE 19977 where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Gracelawnlawn Cemetery, New Castle. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
