Mattie E. Vickers, 77

SELBYVILLE - Mattie E. Vickers of Selbyville, formerly of Millville, passed away in her home on Monday, May 28, 2007. She was 77.

She was born in Millville, daughter of the late, Elmer and Emma (Banks) West.

She was a homemaker.

Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, Preston W. Vickers Sr., in 1990.

She is survived by six children, Preston Vickers Jr. of Millsboro, Brenda Clendaniel of Georgetown, Diane Stancliff of Seaford, Wanda Banks of Georgetown, Danita Robinson of Ocean View, and Annette Scorah of Georgetown; two sisters, Agnes Melson of Georgetown and Pauline Powell of Selbyville; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Thatcher Street in Frankford, where friends may call after noon.

Burial will be in Dagsboro Redmens Memorial Cemetery.

Flowers are acceptable.
