Mary Teresa Platzke, 80
MILTON - Mary Teresa Platzke of Milton, formerly of Early Heights, Md., passed away Friday, July 6, 2007, at Harbor Healthcare, Lewes. She was 80.
Mary was born in Baltimore, daughter of the late Henry B. and Mary Ellen (Burns) Stocktill.
She was a custodian for Severna Park (Md.) Middle School for several years, retiring in 1978.
While living in Maryland, Mary attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Severna Park, and after moving to Delaware she attended St. Jude"s Catholic Church, Lewes.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and especially spending time with her children and family.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Teresa Platzke; two brothers, Henry B. Stocktill and Francis O. Stocktill; and two sisters, Imelda Stocktill and Camilla Longfellow.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, William A. Platzke; two daughters, Bernadette Greene and her husband Michael of Princess Anne, Md., and Margaret Greason and her husband Earl of Bridgeville; one sister, Yvonne Stocktill of Baltimore; one brother, Paul Stocktill of Florida; nine grandchildren, Allen Richard Thomas Jr., Heather Nicole Greason Fink, Allison M. Greene, Jonathan E. Greene, Seth A. Greason, Annette Joy Greason, Andrew M. Greene, Timothy Calem Greason and Lydia Hope Greason; and four great-grandchildren, Sydney Fink, Miranda Thomas, Katherine Thomas, Piper Greason and Hayden Greason.
Memorial services were private.
