Mary S. Walker

DOVER - Mary S. Walker of Dover, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Shipley Manor, Wilmington. She was 90. Mrs. Walker was born November 8, 1925 in Dunn, North Carolina to the late Melvin Sandidge and Esther Hynson Sandidge. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking and going to Fenwick Island. Mrs. Walker was a member of Dover Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Walker 1999. She is survived by her son, Grafton H. Heather and his wife Christine of Key Largo, Fla.; daughters, Barbara Houser and her husband Mitchell D. Sr. of West Chester, Pa., Suzanne Callaghan of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Barbara Merrell of Dover; grandchildren, Krista Cooper and her husband Rob, Elizabeth Turner and her husband Scott, Mitchell Houser, Jr., Heather Houser and Corey Callaghan; great grandchildren, Josh and Jeremy Cooper, Cameron and Austin Turner. Services will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of their choice. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
