Mary Louise McKenzie Oatley

McKenzie Oatley, 74 FELTON - Mary Louise McKenzie Oatley passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was 74. Mary was born on Nov. 17, 1936, in Georgetown, Ohio, daughter of the late George and Martha (Evans) McKinzie. She enjoyed life as a homemaker. Her hobbies included crafting and quilting. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Ronald; and a brother, George D. McKenzie. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Arthur Oatley; four children, Vicki L. James of Virginia Beach, Va., Mary J. Chaisson and her husband Paul of Felton, Douglas A. Oatley of Virginia Beach, Va., and Robert C. Oatley and his fiancé Nicole of Felton; a sister, Bessie K. Ernst of Georgetown, Ohio; a brother, William C. McKenzie of Hillsboro, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Arlene Bass and her husband Ron of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Bertie Bargo of Milford, Ohio; brother-in-law, Albert Oatley and his wife Gene of Georgetown, Ohio; grandchildren, Jesse James and his wife Angie of Virginia Beach, Va., Heather J. Garcia of Virginia Beach, Va., Paul Chaisson of Felton, Sarah Chaisson of Chapel Hill, N.C., Anthony Chaisson, and Daniel Chaisson, both of Felton; great-grandchildren, Chase and Ty James of Virginia Beach, Va., Julia and Christina Garcia of Virginia Beach, Va.; and several nieces, nephews and many loving friends. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, at the Maranatha Baptist Church, 605 Lebanon Road, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or Maranatha Baptist Church.
