Mary Lee Stringham went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 8, 2014. She is survived by her loving mother, Floretta Thomas and stepfather, Robert Thomas Sr, both of New Castle; three brothers, John Stringham of Pa., Ron Stringham, of N.J., and Robert Thomas Jr, of New Castle. Mary loved writing, animals and going to church. She attended Christ Lutheran Church and their Bible School for Special People. The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice Care of Delaware, and a special thanks to Darlene Conley and her family for providing excellent loving care as her foster family for the last 11 years. The family would also like to thank her case worker Steve Dougherty for his care throughout the years. The family is grateful for the care that Easter Seals provided for Mary. Funeral Services will be at Noon on Monday, Jan. 13th at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St, Seaford, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to Noon. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
