Mary Ireland Calloway

RIDGELY, MD - Mary Ireland Calloway of Ridgely, Md., passed away Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Homestead Manor in Denton, Md. She was 84 Mary was born July, 15, 1926 in Denton, Md. to the late John and Annie Greenlee Ireland. She was a 1943 graduate of Greensboro High School. She married her husband Norman on December 12, 1945 and became a farmer's wife. She volunteered countless hours at the Benedictine School and St. Martin's Barn for many years. She was a member of Hillsboro-Queen Anne United Methodist Church. Her passions included her family, friends and singing in the church's choir. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Norman W. Calloway; son, Ronnie Calloway; grandson Brooks Spencer; brother, Judy Ireland; and sister Helen Hague She is survived by three daughters, Janet Meyers & husband Frank of Greensboro, Connie Hutson & husband Sonny of Ridgely, Cathy Spencer & husband David of Greensboro; two sisters, Evelyn Bounds and Margaret Scott both of Denton; five grandchildren, Dawn Jackson & husband Chris of Hartly, Del., Erin Braband and husband Ben of Greensboro, Heidi Fellon of Hurlock, Barret Spencer & wife Emily of Ridgely, and Shelby Spencer of Greensboro; ten great grandchildren, Marissa Berger, Kylie Lynch, Madison Braband, Cole Brooks Miller, Krista Jackson, Katie Fellon, Kyle Fellon, Brooklynn Spencer, Marklyn Jackson and Zachary Braband Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, from 6:00-8:00 P.M., at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave, Greensboro, MD Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M., at Hillsboro-Queen Anne U. M. Church, 21991 Main St., Hillsboro, MD. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Hillsboro, MD.
