GREENSBORO, Md. - Mary George Caulk, 95, of Greensboro, formerly of St. Michaels, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, in Caroline Nursing Home, Denton, where she had been living since April 1997 and had continually received excellent care. She was born on Oct. 16, 1913, in Cordova, to the late Elmer Edward and Edith Dyott George. Mrs. Caulk was a 1931 graduate from Cordova High School. She went on to graduate from Cambridge Nursing School with a registered nursing degree. Mrs. Caulk worked at Memorial Hospital in Easton and Cambridge Hospital. Mrs. Caulk lived in St. Michaels with her husband Joseph until his death, she then moved to Greensboro. She is survived by two nieces, Phyllis G. Blades of Centreville, and Mary Edythe Sibiski of Essex; four nephews, Ernest E. George of Queen Anne, Ronald, H. George and Richard L. George, both of Centreville, and Ted George of Denton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Caulk; three brothers, Elmer D. George, James George, and Clifford M. George; one nephew, James R. George; and one niece, Janice G. Andrew. Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where a visitation will be starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Caroline Nursing Home in memory of Mary Caulk, 520 Kerr Ave., Denton, MD 21629. Letters of condolence may be sent via www.fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
