SMYRNA - Mary Elaine Feinauer (Grommy) Naylor, of Smyrna, passed away peacefully on Oct. 10, 2014 at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Dover. She was born on Mar. 3, 1927 in Pottsville, Pa., the youngest of eight children to Charles and Mary Feinauer. She graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School in 1945. Mary was the office manager of the family moving business, Naylor Brothers, in Dover until the passing of her husband, John, in 1974. She then worked in the Traffic Management Office at DAFB until her retirement in 1990. Tasked at a young age with raising six sons, Mary always made sure her family got everything they needed. Her devotion to her children had no boundaries and she passed this on to her beloved grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, John Jr., David, and Andrew, as well as six siblings, Charles, Dot, James, Joe, John, and Peg. She is survived by her sister, Ann; her four sons, Paul (Dover), Matthew and Tom (Smyrna) and Luke (Clayton); and her seventeen grandchildren, John III, Candi, Matt, Erin, Elizabeth, Kristina, Mary, Angela, Diana, Jessica, Jennifer, Nikki, Becky, Jackie, Christian, Emily and Andrew. A viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
